Transforming mental healthcare

My Name is Hamid Farahani. I integrate evidence-based principles from various therapeutic modalities, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Metacognitive Therapy (MCT), and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) into my practice. As an integrative counsellor, I am an accredited Professional by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and recognised by Addiction Professionals. My therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion, respect, and a commitment to delivering the highest standard of care.
I strongly believe in the power of Systematic Family/Couple Therapy to address issues affecting families and couples.

I am a dedicated and experienced ADHD assessor and specialist, with a strong foundation in the field of adult ADHD assessment and intervention. My professional journey has been shaped by comprehensive training and qualifications from esteemed institutions, including the UK Adult ADHD Network (UKAAN) and King's College London. I hold a Certificate in "Diagnosis and Assessment of Adults with ADHD," and I have completed the course "Understanding ADHD: Current Research and Practice" at King's College London.

In my current role, I have the privilege of collaborating with a consultant clinical psychologist to offer comprehensive ADHD assessment and reporting services tailored to adults. We understand the unique challenges that individuals with ADHD face, and our mission is to provide accurate assessment and support to empower our clients to lead fulfilling lives.

Whether you are seeking ADHD assessment and support or individual and family counselling, I am here to provide the guidance and care you need to thrive.

A modern approach

Tailoring treatment is a crucial component of my practice, allowing me to assist in resolving symptoms related to a wide range of mental health conditions. These include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD), Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), trauma, depression, anxiety disorders, various personality disorders, suicidal ideation and Substance Use Disorder (SUD). By tailoring therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each individual, I strive to provide the most effective and compassionate care possible, fostering positive outcomes and improved mental well-being for my clients.

My Experience

My experience includes working as a counsellor at Inspire Partnership, a community drug and alcohol service in Sutton, counselling individuals and their families.

Additionally, I have provided mental health counselling to refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. As a trained mental health first aider, I have supported individuals affected by major natural disasters, such as earthquakes and floods.
